I love what I do. I help a variety of organizations improve their digital presence and build accessible communities.

Primarily, I’m a web content and design specialist for Penn State College of Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In this role, I support the web presence of the institution on both the Liferay and WordPress CMS platforms, but more importantly, I support our researchers, educators, clinicians and students, helping them tell their stories online. I am also proud to work as an accessibility liaison, ensuring our content is available to all.

In addition, I am a recent graduate of Penn State’s Homeland Security – Public Health Preparedness master’s program. My research focuses on Lassa virus and Boko Haram activity in Nigeria. My abstract from this work was named the best poster presentation at the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine’s 2019 Congress in Brisbane, Australia.

I am also the owner of a full-service web support company called Technical Penguins and the co-founder of a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit called Pengins for Everyone.

My specialties/interests include accessibility, web development, writing, editing, social media, staff management, project management, public speaking, content management, SEO, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Microsoft Office, Adobe CC, customer service, community news, personal finance, debt reduction, unschooling, virology, Lassa, Boko Haram, giving away stuffed penguins, martial arts and mathematics. To name a few.
